Teamworks - Cathy Brown ("Where's the Court?")
Cathy's 20 years of senior channel experience in the high-tech sector provides SALESWORKS with leading expertise in all areas of channel strategies, project management, methodology, training and financial administration.
Cathy began her career at Andersen Consulting, moving into a role managing dealer, VAR and distributor channels for Computer Associates Micro Products division, where her group realized 100% growth for each of the 3 years she was there.
Immediately before starting SALESWORKS, Cathy acted as a Director for Pivotal Software, where she built their entire VAR strategy from the ground up; recruited, trained, and managed over 100 VAR’s.
Cathy holds a B.Sc. in commerce and finance from the University of British Columbia.
Cathy’s tenacity and skill on the squash courts are second only to her business acumen, and she is never far from the courts. In her opinion, hitting squash and tennis balls is the best way to exercise her competitive spirit while avoiding the gym.
She loves living in beautiful Vancouver, where the mountains and water are never far from sight and she can walk her dog Taz (a schipperke) anywhere worth going to. She enjoys the city she lives in because people are nice, friendly and laid back, and she can enjoy year round boating and her husbands’ (the infamous George Brown) tasty margaritas.
If Cathy had not become a highly respected and established business executive, she would have tried her hand at a career in journalism. She has a flair for cooking Thai food and also appreciates the musical lyricism of Steely Dan. Cathy is an avid world traveler and plans to see as many countries as she possibly can in her lifetime.
